2011.05.25 - 09:02:29 / radiorebelde.icrt.cu. President Raul Castro Meets with Papal Nuncio to CubaHAVANA, CUBA.- Cuban President Raul Castro met on Tuesday afternoon with Monsignor Giovanni Angelo Becciu, Papal Nuncio to Cuba, who concludes his mission on the island.

Raul acknowledged the work carried out by Monsignor Becciu as representative of the Supreme Pontiff as well as his contribution to the deepening of the positive relations existing between Cuba and the Holy See. The two authorities also tackled other topics of international interest. 

Also present at the meeting were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Caridad Diego, head of the Office for Religious Affairs of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party. (ACN)
