Next Cuba Tourism Fair 2012 in Cayo Santa María

The next edition of the International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCUBA 2012) will move to Cayo Santa María, north of Villa Clara province, considered the youngest destination of the island. According to Manuel Marrero, Cuban minister of that industry, the meeting, expected from the 8th to the 11th of May of 2012, will be devoted to Argentina as the Guest of Honor country, and to the Family segment as a tourist product.
The event of this year, focused on Havana, Mexico and the multiple destination option, concluded on Saturday at Morro-Cabaña Historic- Military Park, after a comprehensive program that included an update of the smokeless industry in the Caribbean nation,
presentations of its main tourist entities, rounds of trade negotiations and activities to the public.
Representatives of the foreign press had also the opportunity of noting the beauty of the next venue. Its beaches, chosen from the 25 best in the world according to TripAdvisor website, its natural wealth, the comfort of its hotels and its customer services are among its attractions.
The itinerary for the group attending FIT Cuba 2011 included places like La Estrella town, an extra-hotel complex located there, as well as Remedios heritage city, Ernesto Che Guevara Memorial in Santa Clara, and Varadero famous resort, finishing the trip there this Sunday.
Cuba dismissed the most important tourism appointment in the island with a spirit of optimism and the aspiration to receive this year two million 700 thousand foreigners. Constant efforts to sustainably develop this area in harmony with the environment; improve housing facilities; the quality of services; the diversity of its product; and enhance the reputation of the nation in the international level, standing out as one of the safest destinations in the world; add to this spirit.
