Cuba, Bolivia to strengthen military ties

Bolivia's and Cuba's military leaders agreed Friday to boost bilateral military relations."Bolivia and Cuba, united by a long history, should have a more continuous exchange between their armed forces," said Armando Pacheco, commander in chief of the Bolivian Armed Forces who is currently on an official visit to Cuba, after meeting with his Cuban counterpart General Alvaro Lopez Miera.
The two senior officers agreed that as members of the Bolivarian Alternative for the People of Our America (ALBA), a political and economic alliance initiated by Havana and Caracas, both countries should work to enhance their solidarity and friendship in military matters.
