Trinidad’s Arenas Algaba Research Project Moves Forward
Water experts from the central Cuban provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spiritus work together on a research project called Algaba Sands, considered as possible solution to the shortage of water in Trinidad.
According to sources from the hydraulic resources company in Sancti Spiritus, the studies -started last year- take up one square kilometer area. The wells were made in different places, which help information be more reliable.
The future exploitation of the Algaba Sands location will depend on the results of the investigations. Both researches and projects are scheduled for conclusion before the end of this year.
Trials have confirmed the quality of the water. Taking into consideration the location of the area under investigation, specialists consider it might serve to supply the territory.
