By. Ray.Berlin, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake won the men´s 100-meters event in 9:82 seconds at the ISTAF Athletics Meet here on Sunday.

Blake, who won the Daegu World Championship, beat his personal best, followed by another Caribbean sprinter, Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis, who place second in 10:01 seconds. Blake, 21, won despite a bad start, meaning he has the potential to achieve an even better time.

The discus was won by world champion Robert Harting of Germany, with a mark of 67.22 meters, and another victory for the home team was won by Silke Spiegelburg in the women's pole vault, with a mark of 4.71, followed by Cuban Yarisley Silva (4.66) and Russian Svetlana Feofanova, the former world champion, with 4.56.

Other winners Sunday were Russian Anastasiya Kapachinkaya, in the women's 400 meters, and Dawn Harper from the United States, in the women's 100-meter hurdles.
