Havana hosted the awards to the intellect of Cubans. These are awards given by the Cuban Office of Industrial Property (OCPI) creativity and technological innovation. This event recognizes the work done by national creators.

The award was achieved in the category of invention, the product of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Heberprot-P, for the treatment of patients with diabetic foot ulcers, as well as the industrial model musical instrument, Peter Caverdós Guantanamo.

Also succeeded in business Distinctive emblem of the company Minerva Santa Clara mechanics, while young children's creativity and the student went to Pinar del Rio Yanet Lamas with the work Community work with the visual arts in Ciudad Bolivar.

In closing, Maria de los Angeles Sánchez Torres, director of the OCPI, congratulated the winners and called for the next edition of the award that netrega in Cuba annually.
