Vaccination campaign against poliomyelitis in Mayabeque

Begin next March, the national vaccination campaign Polio number 51 in the municipality of the province Jaruco Mayabeque. Over a thousand children will be immunized in process in two stages.
During one week, from 2 to 9 March, the children will receive the first dose, 20 to 27 April will be given a second chance and will reactivate the small nine years.
According to the Municipal Department of Public Health at the injection site is contraindicated for children with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, some immunodeficiency diseases or those allergic to any component of the polio.
Cuba was 962 thousand the first country in Latin America to be declared free of polio, a disease which at present has universally reduced to 99 per cent, considered remarkable achievement in terms of control
