After the incident in the Athletics World Championships last year between Cuban Dayron Robles and Liu Xiang Chinese during the competition last week in Stockholm on young Caribbean say they are happy to compete again with Liu.

The Cuban was stripped of the gold medal by blocking Liu in the final of the World Outdoor Track Championship in September in Daegu, South Korea.

Robles, world record holder in 110 meters hurdles (12.87 seconds), says he and the Chinese are great friends and no hard feelings after the protest by Liu in Daegu that opened the way for American Jason Richardson the gold medal.

Liu won the silver medal in Daegu.

"Off the track we've been friends for many years," Cuban said Wednesday in an interview with Reuters TV, a day before the indoor athletic meeting in Stockholm.

"But on the track need to win and win. This is a war on the track forever," he said.

Robles and Liu faced the weekend for the first time since the Daegu World in Birmingham, England.

The Chinese won the event with the 60 meters hurdles mark of 7.41 seconds, nine hundredths ahead of Cuba, who finished second to the goal.

"That was one thing once," said Liu, head of Athens Olympic 2004, through an interpreter, referring to the shock they had in Daegu.
