Society of Cardiology in Cuba announces some calendar events

The Cuban Society of Cardiology (SCC) has recently announced some of the events scheduled for this is 2012, including the Cuba-Italy Meeting to be held on the island on May come between 3 and 5.
Based in the Convention Palace of Havana, the event is geared primarily to cardiovascular surgery and cardiology innovations, said Dr. Eduardo Rivas, president of SCC, in a note circulated to the press.
He indicated that in July will take place on National Workshop VIII cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention as well as a regional training course on imaging for diagnosis and prognosis of patients with cardiovascular failure.
He also explained that seminars and workshops will session related to different subjects of the specialty, organized by the Chapters and Groups of Cardiology for whose celebhración be announced.
Rivas also reported that recently completed the third session of the new Board of Governors of the SCC, during which important issues were discussed, including new members, bringing to 262 the number of registered professionals. He explained that coordination continue to establish a program of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Society, established on September 11, 1937, and the preparation of the National Congress of Cardiology, scheduled for late 2013.
