Cuban Achievements in Family Medicine and Primary Care

Between 12 and 16 March will be held in Havana Forum of Family Medicine and Primary Health Care (PHC) where Cuba will present their achievements in the area. The event will include participants from over 20 nations.
Professionals in primary care in health systems, exchange at the Third Regional Congress and the X International Seminar on PHC, which discussed various topics and map strategies to achieve better quality of life of populations.
"Strengthening family medicine and primary health care in health systems: called for the XXI century" is the motto of these meetings, whose official opening will be March 13 at the Palace of Conventions in Havana.
Family Medicine and PHC development required for subsequent formation of the physician and in each of the peoples of Latin America, from the creation of programs to that end, changes are made to ensure the health of the inhabitants.
These actions are carried out through continuous improvement of services, teaching and research, emphasized Dr. Eduardo Alemany, president of the Cuban Society of Family Medicine and the organizing committee.
He also announced the participation of NGO officials and personalities, mainly from the 20 member countries of the Latin American Confederation of Family Medicine, which sponsored the forum.
The study of family health in the region, training human resources, non-communicable chronic diseases, aging, clinical and epidemiological method in practice this level of care, are topics of the meeting.
