The audiovisual event ICAIC Young Show 2012 will be held this 3 to 8 April in Havana. This time will be presented 37 feature films, 41 documentaries and 9 animated, all the result of the ideas of young filmmakers who take their first steps in this area.

The average age of the filmmakers whose works are competing is 26, the youngest of them 18.

Big news is the significant increase in the financial fund provided by the ICAIC and MINCULT to support the production of young filmmakers. It was reported that nine projects will be evaluated in the "Making films" for the provision of material support to facilitate completion. Participate in the pitching around a dozen institutions and three independent audiovisual production entities, which support the production and completion of selected projects.
