On Wednesday March 21 the stock was trading opened the XV International Agricultural Fair (FIAGROP 2012), an occasion that was attended by businessmen, producers and traders from 10 nations.

FIAGROP considered that contributes to the momentum of change that industry needs today, based on long-term sustainable solutions.
The Fair, he said Seijo, should reflect the efforts of Cuba in order to advance towards food self-sufficiency by increasing the competitiveness of traditional products and develop new marketable items.
This year alone more than a thousand will be allocated $ 700 million in food imports, hence the need for a management model to achieve greater efficiency and productivity, according to experts.
At the meeting, Ursula Rommerskirchen, representative of the German embassy on the island, expressed the desire to establish new contracts with the Cuban side, and thus offer their contribution to the Caribbean nation.
This European country is the largest foreign presence at the exhibition center, has 177 square meters exhibiting machinery to eradicate the marabou, water treatment plants, rice farmers, veterinary medical products and agricultural watering, among others.
The agricultural show will expand its activities until next Sunday at its traditional venue in the Havana municipality of Cattle.
