Price of raw sugar in New York lost value

The price of raw sugar lost value in New York today, amid the supervision of delays in the flow of the sweetener from the largest producer and exporter, Brazil, traders said.
On July delivery, closed at 19.92 cents a pound, after a retreat of 0.44 cents.
Similarly, the contract expiring in October, was negotiated to end the session at 19.68 cents per unit, representing a fall of 0.30 cents.
Sweetener to supply the coming year in March traded at the close to 20.57 cents a pound, for a decrease of 0.24 cents.
Moreover, in the London market the refined sugar or white closed the session at $ 568.40 per metric ton (mt), which represented a decline of $ 11.40.
It was learned that China produced 64,000 tonnes of refining 200 in May 2012, much below the 95 000 600 tonnes achieved in the same period last year.
According to the Association of Sugar Producers of the Asian country, the total volume produced in this season 2011/12 is 10.2 percent higher than the previous one.
