Scottish Architects Give Award to Havana´s Historian

The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) awarded its Honorary Fellow title to Havana´s historian, Eusebio Leal, for his work to rescue, preserve and promote patrimonial heritage in the Cuban capital.
In its decision, the company said Leal has worked not only to create museums, cultural institutions, health facilities and housing capacity, but to preserve the human scale, reported Granma newspaper.
The Cuban Conservation Trust was created through an initiative by the professional group, with the aim of mobilizing resources to assist heritage conservation plans in Cuban cities, especially in Havana.
