The links between the tourist industries of Cuba and Venezuela are growing, with plans underpinning an ever increasing spiral, according to a spokesman of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR).
Commercial Director of MINTUR, Jose Manuel Bisbe, added that the presence of his delegation shows those links through the recreational potential of the Island, including sun and beaches, Havana-Varadero, the cays, health, events and culture-related tourism, etc.
Relations with Venezuela are being strengthened and Cuba has received 25,000 Venezuelan visitors this year, and there are plans to close the year with 40,000 tourists.
There is great interest in selling destination Cuba by Venezuelan tour operators, which has been shown at the 7th International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (FITVEN 2012), running here Sep.6-9, he said.
