Cuba Convenes 20th CTC Congress for 2013

The National Council of the Workers' Confederation (CTC) invited its over three million members to its 20th Congress to be held in 2013. At the opening session, in unique world event, Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Corps Gen. Leopoldo Cintra Frias, submitted his report on the 2011 developments.
Nowhere else the Armed Forces report to workers, noted the CTC National Council.
According to Div. Gen. Jose Carrillo, head of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) Political Div., the work force and their relation and unity with the soldiers is "the backbone of our military invulnerability."
The agenda of the CTC 90th plenary presided over by Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and CTC General Secretary Salvador Valdes addressed mainly national defense, saving and efficiency, payment systems and self-employment, today grouping 40,000 people in an effort to improve our economy.
