Peru will begin trade negotiations with Cuba and Nicaragua, thus this will enhance the consolidation of Peruvian exports in Latin America; Peruvian Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade Carlos Posada

Posada said that Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) seeks a trade negotiation with Cuba without greater divergence from what Peru has achieved with other countries or with the Central America region.

Thus, Mincetur has been working to consolidate the present of the Peruvian exportable offer across the Latin American region.

"We have achieved comprehensive agreements such as those with Panama and Costa Rica and we think that the same should happen with Nicaragua and Cuba," Posada said in statements to Andina news agency.

He pointed out that Mincetur has already concluded an internal feasibility study in order to begin trade negotiations with Russia during the current year.  

Indeed, Posada said that the Peruvian sectors of interest for the Russian market are the fishing and agricultural exports.
