The 14th International Wine Festival in Havana reflects the maturity and recognition achieved by the Cuba''s service and tourism industry.
The Oct. 2-4 event is aimed at improving services for customers with highly discerning palates, specifically from Europe.
Organizers affirmed that this year the festival has a record number of participants, with 17 production and marketing companies.
The development of the Cuban tourism industry has motivated this interest in the culinary area, with more than two million travelers arriving in Cuba every year, mostly Canadians and Europeans with demanding tastes and a tradition of wine consumption. The event also draws winemakers from prestigious producers, like Spain, Portugal, Italy, Chile, and others with interesting proposals, such as Mexico and Norway.
Forums, presentations of new products, offers, and a complete overview of the culinary development of the island complete the Festival's program.
