British travelers are increasingly interested in visiting Cuba, judging by the recent arrivals aboard cruise ships and flights to different parts of the Cuban archipelago.
Following the arrival of the cruise ship the Thomson Dream last week, with more than 1,000 tourists from the UK, the Cuban Ministry of Tourism announced Tuesday that a Thomson Airways charter would land tomorrow in the eastern city of Holguin.
MINTUR said this arrival was part of efforts to promote Cuba as a tourist destination during this year's high season (November to April).
Official sources said that more than 127,000 British tourists visited Cuba from January to October, and another 150,000 are scheduled at the end of the year.
UK is the number two source country of tourists to Cuba, following Canada.
