From October 1 to 5 several Cuban artists will exhibit their works at the Contemporary Art Fair of Chile: Ch.ACO 2014. CO Art Gallery represents the work of Mabel Poblet, Ernesto Javier Fernandez, Alexis Leyva Machado (Kcho) and Analia Amaya.
Lucia Cintas Coca, Malena Cintas Coca and Elisa González Martínez are the founders of CO, a gallery which has among its characteristics an online format, allowing to use the web as a place for publishing and viewing the exhibits. Aimed at the promotion and marketing of contemporary Latin American art, this gallery works primarily with young Cuban and Chilean art, but are open to working with artists from across the region.
CO Art Gallery does not have their own space to mount exhibitions, so it is very helpful to the realization of admissions fairs, as is the case Ch.ACO, where they had their first experience in 2013. At that time they represented the Cuban Mabel Poblet, Adrian Fernandez and José Emilio Fuentes Fonseca (JEFF).
The presence of Cuban artists in international art fairs -whether by personal or institutional management- has been strengthened over the past two decades. Important events such as ARCO Madrid and Art Basel in their programs have included the names of many representatives of the Island. The same has also happened with fairs organized in the Latin American region, as ART Lima, ArtBo and now Ch.ACO.
