El Canario will sing in Matamoros Son Festival in Santiago de Cuba

The International Matamoros Son Festival, to be held in Santiago de Cuba from October 15 to 19, will be completed with the participation of Dominican salsa singer Jose Alberto Justiniano Andújar, better known as El Canario, who will perform at the opening ceremony.
El Canario, along with Santiaguero Septet, will start at the Heredia Theater Festival on Wednesday 15. The musician was invited to present his album with Septet Santiaguero “I do not want tears”. Tribute to The Compadres, will also participate Oscar D'Leon, Eliades Ochoa, Aymee Nuviola, Ismael Miranda and Andy Montañez, among others. The album comes out in January.
The event, designed to "insist on the revival and promotion of popular dance genre", will be dedicated to Benny Moré, who meet 95 years of life, and the leader of the orchestra Los Van Van, Juan Formell, who died this year.
Among the orchestras invited are Pupi y los que Son Son, Original de Manzanillo, Los Van Van and Candido Fabre.
