As expected the Cuban Osleni Guerrero won the gold medal at the XIX Pan American Badminton Championships held in Ontario, thus ratifying the title won last year. With this victory Guerrero added 5000 points to his personal accumulated in the global ranking, which ranks 56.

The representative of Cuba, top seed of the competition, defeated in three sets to Bjorn Seguin, United States, fifth seed, with markers of 19-21, 21-14 and 21-13, as reflected in the contest website.

This victory also was the rematch against the US setback in Giraldilla tournament in Havana at the beginning of this year tournament where Guerrero won bronze medal.

With the title at the Pan American Championships in Canada, Guerrero adds another laurel in a season where he has achieved gold medals in Peru Open and International Tournament of Venezuela, in addition to bronze "Giraldilla" and the Grand Prix of Brazil.
