The festival MatamoroSon had a great closure in the city of Santiago de Cuba, Van Van were responsible for terminate the sixteenth edition of the event.

Thousands of Santiago people danced to the most popular songs of the group known as The train of Cuba, mostly composed by Juan Formell, who was dedicated the evening by Miguel Matamoros on his 120th birthday, 95 of Beny Moré, 75 of the Orquesta Aragón and 30 Adalberto Alvarez y su Son.

The closing day of MatamoroSon was also colored by the presentations of many orchestras in different areas of the city, players during the four days of the largest gathering of Cuban soneros.

Of great musical and cultural exchange and enrichment, was described by many participants this sixteenth edition of the Festival del Son in Santiago de Cuba, which was attended by the most important gender advocates of the island and the world.
