A total of 29 undocumented Cubans were arrested early Wednesday in Costa Rica when traveling in two minibuses. All are in good health, are adults, 23 men and six women.
They were placed in the hands of the authorities and it’s not certain known how entered the country. The arrest occurred a day after two policemen of the Immigration Department were arrested on the border with Panama for allegedly charging Cuban citizens between 25 to 100 dollars for a formula to give them an appointment to attend an interview at Immigration.
The Costa Rican authorities have warned that these quotes are free. The two policemen are detained.
