Cuba was crowned champion with 123 gold medals in Central American Games

Last Sunday were closed the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, in which Cuba ranked first in the medal board by countries with 123 gold medals, 66 silver and 65 bronze, to beat the hosts, which resulted in 115, 106 and 111, after an event in which both countries were always very close in the medal count.
Cuba won two gold medals at stake in beach volleyball on Sunday; women prevailed 2-0 to Mexican and men did the same to beat Venezuela 2-1.
In volleyball room, Dominicans won gold by beating Puerto Rico 3-2, while Cuba took the bronze to break the Mexican team for 3-0.
Mexico won gold with the women's team in tennis, 2-0 over Venezuela. Guatemala took the bronze after beating Cuba. In men, the champions were Colombians to a 2-0 win over Guatemala. The bronze went to the Venezuelans.
In the morning, the Mexican Margarita Hernandez won the gold medal marathon. Hernandez used a time of 2 hours, 41 minutes and 16 seconds to get the win. The Mexican was imposed on the Cuban Dailin Belmonte, who had a record of 2:42:01 to keep the silver. The Venezuelan got bronze Zuleima Amaya with 2:42:27.
In men, the test was conquered by the Cuban Richer Pérez with time 2:19:13. The silver was won by the Guatemalan Jose Amado Garcia (2:19:45) and bronze stared Mexican Daniel Vargas (2:20:27).
