A traffic accident occurred at 11:40 pm Saturday at the 8th kilometer of the road to Caiguanabo, in the town of La Palma, Pinar del Río, caused three deaths and 13 injured.

At the time of the incident were killed Alber Luis Carrasco Chavez, 21, and Ariel Hernandez Portales, 37, while in the Abel Santamaría Provincial Hospital, died Sergio Castillo, 47.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the truck belonging to the Cooperative Credit and Service Manuel Cordero, Consolacion del Sur, left the road and turned over.

The first medical care that wounded received was at the polyclinic of the town and were subsequently sent to the Pinar del Rio institution, which remain two patients with life threatening.

Of the 13 injured, nine were men and three women, while a minor is in the Pepe Portilla Pediatric Hospital of the territory.

In the words of Dr. Orlando Frías Valdés, head guard surgery in the morning was operated on a patient orthopedics, and another was operated by neurosurgery.

Ministry is still investigating the causes of this massive accident.
