Karl Marx Theater will showcase the play Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel, the famous tale by the Grimm brothers in choreography by Eduardo Blanco, will go to the scene of Karl Marx Theater, on Saturday and Sunday February 7th and 8th , both functions at 5:00 PM.
With the staging of this choreography anniversaries 25 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Child The Beehive Company will be held; as well as 15 years of Vocational Workshop Chair Dance National Ballet of Cuba.
This time, Hansel and Gretel has had the valuable cooperation of the United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF).
Conceived in two acts, Hansel and Gretel is based on the classic tale of universal children's literature of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. It has been choreographed by Eduardo Blanco, inspired by the music of Jules Massenet, Richard Wagner, Sergei Prokofiev and Joseph Luigini.
The set and costume designs are Reymena Ricardo, Eduardo Romero and Luis Carlos Benvenuto. This piece has been well received by the public and critics of Cuba and Canada, a country where there is shown three times.
The protagonists roles of Hansel and Gretel will be borne by guest dancers from the National Ballet of Cuba, a selection of students in Vocational Workshop Chair dance company directed by Alicia Alonso, members of The Beehive and students of the National School ballet.
