Habano Festival opens its Trade Fair

The Trade Fair of the XVII Habano Festival was opened in the Palace of Conventions in Havana, with the presence of 67 booths from seven nations, among which stand out the Italian samples.
Hernán Aguilar Parra, President of the Business Group Tabacuba the Ministry of Agriculture, said that this time over 800 square meters of exhibition surface and, most of all those held in their history were hired.
Highlighted the participation of 45 Cuban exhibitors showing handicrafts, cultural and musical production, fashion, tourism, gastronomy, collectors pieces, smokers' articles, including the most varied and innovative cases and humidors.
It meant that the meeting is devoted to the Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo brand cigars wallet vitola of Habanos SA
Among the Italian companies present are Bertinelli, responsible for producing and distributing high quality cheeses to several countries in Europe and Latin America.
Paola Marchetti, director of exports, told AIN that the fair is a good place to establish working relations with Cuba given the large number of tourists from the country visiting the island.
On Tuesday he is scheduled to visit delegates to the tobacco plantations Vuelta Abajo, Pinar del Rio, in which exchange experience with seasoned producers.
