On February 6 large audience gathered at O'Reilly 308, between Habana and Aguiar, Habana Vieja; at 8 p.m. was inaugurated in the gallery Havana Factory the personal Expo of Esterio Segura: Tropical West.
Many will remember those sculptures destroyed in the film Fresa y Chocolate, or the Holy box walk in the tropics that is in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Tropical West allows us a tour of the work of the 80 and 90 of this artist as known in Cuba and abroad. In addition to its many exhibitions, Segura was -along curator Carlos Garaicoa- of metaphors temple, presented at the Centre for Development of Visual Arts in 1993, an exhibition that is included in the important moments for the pivot point of the plastic Cuban of those years.
The expo will be open until April 25.
