Brian Chesky, Airbnb CEO, said Cuba is the fastest growing market of the company and the decision of the US President, Barack Obama, to resume ties with the island has been a boon for the company that is dedicated to "advertise rental houses".
"Forty days ago we started (our business) in Cuba. We started with 1,000 houses on the island and today we have 2,000”, he said in an interview on Bloomberg Television. "I do not think we have had a market growing as fast as that of Cuba."
"The desire of President Obama is to link these two communities -US and Cuban", said Chesky, who was in Washington on Monday to meet with Obama and other businessmen to promote the global entrepreneurship program of the Obama administration.
