Grand Masters (GM) Yuniesky Quesada, Yuri González and Carlos Hevia will represent Cuba in the 10th Continental Chess Tournament based in Montevideo, Uruguay from next Friday.
The event will grant four tickets for the World Cup to be played between September and October in Baku, and will have in Yuniesky (2645 Elo points) the best ranked player among the best exponents of the island.
So far there are 145 players registered from 13 countries. The bases released by the organizers report that the contest will be have 11 rounds under the Swiss system and in case of tie tickets will be defined through blitz games.
