United States and Cuba will continue today in Washington negotiations for the opening of embassies having achieved "progress" on the first day of the bilateral dialogue, Cuban Foreign Ministry and the US State Department announced.
The meeting lasted seven and a half hours. So far, it has not transcended almost anything about the content of the meeting and what the aspects in which progress has been made are.
The issue of the opening of embassies in Washington and Havana , after more than half a century of disruption and ideological confrontation between the two governments was on the negotiating table.
The Interests Section of Cuba announced yesterday that services have been restored banking, "which ensure the normal functioning of the Cuban diplomatic mission and will allow to fully resume consular services it provides."
