The authorities of the club New York Cosmos confirmed that the team will arrive on Sunday to Havana to hold a friendly match against the Cuban national team, on June 2, at Pedro Marrero Stadium.
As it has been said, the New York team will travel to the capital with a special guest: Brazilian star Pelé, who was signed by the squad in 1975 and left his indelible imprint there.
The Cuban Football Association also confirmed the presence in the team of two players with broad international experience such as the Spanish striker Raul Gonzalez Blanco- an idol of Real Madrid FC- and Spanish-Brazilian midfielder Marco Senna.
"It's the first time I go to Cuba and it is very exciting because it will be a historic match for the Cosmos and me. I hope to repeat and also that other US teams could play against Cuban teams”, said the Spanish striker in a video released by the American side.
