Google suggests that Cuba should jump directly to mobile phones and tablets connections without going through all the wiring way, as commented on Monday a representative of the firm OnCuba.
Two directors of the group, Brett Perlmutter, of Google Ideas, and Brehanna Zwart, of Google Access &Energy, traveled to Havana in a business delegation just days after the Cuban government strategy for at least 50% of households in the island to be connected to the Internet by 2020 was leaked.
The company representatives did not confirm to the magazine if Google presented a proposal to the Cuban government to participate in the infrastructure on the island, according to what several US publications reported last weekend.
