WI-FI rooms in 35 points of Cuban territory will be opened, ETECSA announces

"The connection to surf will be under the name WIFI_ETECSA at an early stage in 35 sites nationwide," said Luis Manuel Díaz Naranjo, Director of Communications of the entity, in an interview with Juventud Rebelde newspaper.
The new service will be accessible to users with contracts of Nauta local accounts and constitutes "a first stage of implementation of one more access way" to that service.
The connection speed will be of 1 Mbps per user. The areas where you can use that service are public spaces such as parks, avenues and boulevards of several cities.
Also from July 1 the Internet price in surf rooms will have a discount of up to 2 CUC (convertible peso, equivalent to dollar) for users of Nauta, representing an approximate of 50% reduction compared to current cost.
