Baleària obtains a license from the US government to operate in Cuba

Baleària, a Spanish shipping company, has obtained "the first necessary license to operate between the US and Cuba," according to a statement from the company, based in Denia (Alicante). "This license, granted by the Bureau of Industry and Security, allows the entry and exit of boats to and from Cuba, but not transporting passengers for tourism," says the press release.
However, the Spanish entity expects that in the coming weeks, the US government to also grant it the OFAC license "which does regulates the transportation of passengers.
"With these two licenses, Baleària will have all the necessary permits from the US authorities and it will only be necessary the authorization from the Cuban government," adds the press release.
