The 8th Meeting of the Cuba-China Joint Working Group on Biotechnology will take place today and tomorrow at the Melia Habana Hotel and will be on session with the main objective to review the state of bilateral agreements in the last two years.
This meeting, which is held every two years in China and Cuba alternately, will be attended by 52 participants from the Asian country and 48 from the island. The work of these groups will be divided into five main subcommittees: Industry, Health Record, Health, Science and Neuro-technology and Agriculture.
The Asian giant's collaboration with the Caribbean nation in the field of biotechnology was institutionalized a little over a decade ago, during visits to Cuba by the then president Hu Jintao.
