The health system in Belarus already benefits from the use of Cuban medicines, thanks to the mutual recognition of registration of drugs and for the compensatory exchange agreement that has been established between the two countries.
Vladimir Astapenka, ambassador of the Slavic nation in Havana, said that several biotechnology products from the Caribbean nation are being already used in Minsk, including Heberprot-P for the healing of diabetic foot ulcer.
"We are waiting for the next arrival in Cuba of a shipment of vehicles and heavy machinery for industry and agriculture, with which we will fulfill our part of the agreement," he announced.
Astapenka said the aspiration of the two governments is that this trade exchange to become equally solid as the relationships at the political level, which has included the condemnation of Belarus to the US blockade to the Caribbean nation and the claiming for the return of the Cuban Five.
