Cuba bought 719 Chinese electric vehicles for the tourism sector

A fleet of electric cars from now coexist alongside traditional almendrones of the 50 and the relics of Eastern Europe. In principle its use is exclusively for the tourism industry.
Last Friday, the Chinese electric car maker BYD (Build Your Dreams) announced that it would provide 719 EV sedans to Cuba. The order was signed in Havana on July 3 by Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investments, Wang Chuanfu, CEO of BYD, and Xu Qin, mayor of Shenzhen, where the company headquarters is located.
This fleet of efficient vehicles will support to enhance Cuba´s growing tourism industry, which has been revived since the restoration of diplomatic relations with the United States.
