Cuban choir wins award in Washington, D.C.

The Cuban choir Entrevoces, directed by Digna Guerra, won the Grand Prize at the International Choir Competition 2015 Serenade, held in Washington, United States.
The group, which is touring in US territory since June 15, also won the first prize in its category, in which it competed with choirs from different countries including Canada, Slovakia and the United States, among others.
The panel of judges highlighted in the minutes the high level of Entrevoces in interpreting the chosen repertoire, which stood two works by the maestro Leo Brouwer.
