If the former governor of Florida Jeb Bush wins the US presidency in the elections next year, it is unlikely him to remain open an embassy in Cuba.
"Probably not," the son and brother of presidents said in an online interview with the editorial board of New Hampshire ’s Union Leader newspaper, answering to the question if he would keep the project launched by President Barack Obama.
Although Bush said he gives Obama the "benefit of the doubt" when it comes to his efforts for rapprochement to Cuba, he noted he still wants to see the benefits of closer relations with the Caribbean country.
"We are negotiating without getting anything in return," he said. "While we are negotiating, repression has increased."
