The leadership of the US Senate, Republican majority, said on Sunday that Congress will block any possible President Barack Obama's nomination of an ambassador to Cuba.
Mitch McConnell, majority leader of the Senate, interviewed on the television program "Fox News Sunday," said the Senate will not confirm the appointment of an ambassador in Havana.
Republicans control the Senate and the House and many of them are against Obama’s rapprochement to island.
