The Secretary of State, John Kerry, will arrive in Havana on August 14 to the ceremony of reopening of the US embassy on the island, CNN confirmed today.
The American diplomat like his Cuban counterpart, will hoist the American flag (for the first time since 1961) to complete the first phase of the restoration of bilateral relations, announced on December 17.
The official reopening of the Cuban embassy in Washington was held on Monday which was attended by a large delegation of government officials and Cuban civil society, led by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
