Imo, video call app for iOS and Android, is the privileged among Cubans that connect to the new wireless networks installed this year on the island. Imo does not require much storage space on mobile devices, the service is free and has the ability to work with low bandwidth; with these features the application has significantly displaced Skype in the Cuban market. The new platform has become famous among national Internet as it offers the ability to send messages and chat in real time with family and friends abroad without the obligation to have a Paypal account or credit card. Imo also allows chat with several friends at once, share photos and videos. While in Play Store, Imo is completely free, the Telecommunications Company of Cuba offers its installation for 2.00cuc, which adds cost to the acquisition of internet service.
