Four Cuban chefs who run known " paladares" (private restaurants) on the island will share from 10 to 14 August their experiences with renowned chefs from Miami, like Victor Santos, Michelle Bernstein and Santiago Alvarez.
During this week of "exchanges with chefs in Miami, Cuban chefs will be every day in a different restaurant" working closely with their hosts, Cuba Entrepreneurial Exchange, organizer of the event, said in a statement.
This "enterprise exchange", which has the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation seeks to "reduce barriers between Cuban entrepreneurs and residents and educated in Miami about the realities of the private sector" in the Caribbean island, the organization highlighted.
One of the main attractions of this program will be the master class to students of the Culinary Institute of Miami Dade College. The event includes the preparation of a menu for a hundred guests with the collaboration of Cuban chefs.
