Christopher Joseph Ward, ex-bassist of the mythical US punk rock band Ramones, will offer two concerts in Cuba as part of the Habanarte Festival to be held in this capital on September 3-13.
The former Ramone will arrive in Havana accompanied by his group, composed of Dave Soto and Dan Root, guitarists of the California band The Adolescents, a sort of Californian punk gospels. The band confirmed presentations for September 12 and 13, thus becoming the first U.S. punk rock band to visit the island.
The concerts by CJ Ramone in Cuba will be a preview of the Patria Grande Festival, an event that will have its second edition on November 12-18, with the participation of the Argentinean band Carajo, a prominent rock group in Latin America.
