Cuba finished in the tenth place in the standing positions of the Athletics World Championships held in Beijing, with 2 gold medals and a silver one.
The Cuban delegation won its first gold medals since 2009, this time Yarisley Silva in pole vault (women) and Denia Caballero in discus throw. Triple jumper Pedro Pablo Pichardo won the silver medal.
