Although the details of the meeting are yet to be determine, several media have reported that the Vatican and Cuba have agreed to meet Pope Francis in Havana with former President Fidel Castro.
The meeting, which will probably not be included in the official agenda of the visit of the Pope to Cuba, would be produce if the health of Fidel allows it, sources clarified.
If the meeting takes place, it would be the third of Fidel with a bishop of Rome in Cuba: in January 1998 he met John Paul II; in March 2012, being Raul the president, Fidel had a long meeting at the headquarters of the apostolic nunciature in Havana with Benedict XVI.
