Cuba could compete strongly by the US sugar market to Mexico and take control of it, announced the newspaper .MX.
Mexico exports to the US annually between one million 300 thousand tons and one million 500 thousand tons.
The state of relations between Cuba and the US, including agricultural production, makes provision for such displacement of Mexican product.
While agribusiness system is beyond the decline, as they have been closed and dismantled several sugar mills, the possibility of selling to the US will influence in the health of the Cuban economy.
