Some of the most prestigious hotel chains in the US have expressed interest in bringing their business to Cuba in recent months, the British news agency Reuters reported.
Executives groups Carlson Hospitality Group, Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide and Radisson Hotels & Resorts are among those who have already held informal talks with Cuban officials.
"We are all very interested," Ted Middleton, Vice President of the Hilton chain in charge of the Latin America section told Reuters, "When we are legally permitted, we want to be in the starting line ready to go."
While waiting for the politicians of both countries iron out their differences, managers of large hotel groups are conducting market research missions in Havana.
